The couple, Adrienne Lay and Josh Causey met in high school although they didn’t see any romantic fireworks until the summer after they both graduated from college. Their first date was on the Fourth of July. Josh chose another holiday, Thanksgiving to propose to Adrienne. The night before Thanksgiving, under the guise of needing to retrieve a turkey recipe from his dad’s house, Josh lured Adrienne into coming where he had wine and roses waiting for her and he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

The couple wed on September 25, 2004 at the Gaylord Texan Resort. The bride wearing her Vera Wang gown was escorted down the aisle by her mother and her sister as the string quartet played. The ceremony area was flanked with florals designed by Fete des Fluers – fall tones of reds, and oranges with striking brown wrought iron chandeliers with candles and additional floral. The highlight of the ceremony was the surprise to the groom and the mother of the groom when the gospel choir, Level Ground, came out and sang “Joyful, Joyful,” a favorite song of the grooms and the brides mom. The guests will also surprised and delighted and everyone ended the ceremony clapping along with the choir.

The couple provided a unique favor for their guests, red chargers with a special engraving on the back from the bride and groom. The evening was filled with excitement, high energy, and dancing. The bride and groom ended the evening exiting the Gaylord Texan with sprinkles of rose petals thrown and driving away in the bride’s “something blue” – a blue sports car.
