The engaged couple featured today on Dallas Wedding Planner is Kacie and Jared. According to eHarmony, they say on average 236 eHarmony members marry each day. Kacie and Jared will become one of those statistics. Enjoy our interview with them and some of their engagement photo images taken by Crosswhite Photography.

How did the two of you meet? Jared and I met on eHarmony. When we were matched, I had been on eHarmony for nearly a year. My subscription was close to running out and I wasn’t planning on renewing it. Jared, on the other hand, had only been on for a few weeks! We had so much fun getting to know each other and pretty soon it grew into a relationship.
When did you get engaged? June 8, 2009
Tell us about the proposal. Jared proposed on a very regular Monday. He mentioned earlier in the day that he wanted us to go on a casual date after our workout that afternoon. So we went to a little Italian restaurant and had dinner. Jared seemed a little bit flustered at dinner, but I didn’t think much of it. After dinner, he asked if I wanted to go for a little walk around White Rock Lake. That’s when I started to get a little bit suspicious. It was a really pretty night and it was right about sunset when we got to the lake. The sky looked beautiful and the fireflies had started to come out. We walked for a while and then Jared pulled me off the path, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was just perfect!
Where did you have your engagement photo session taken? Is there any significance to this place? Jared and I took our engagement pictures at White Rock Lake in Dallas, which is where he proposed. The falling leaves picture of us is actually on the spot that he pulled me off the path.

What’s your favorite memory from your engagement session? My favorite memory about the session was just making time to really enjoy each other and document this time in our relationship. Jared says that this is one of the first times that the thought of getting married actually set in and after being so close for the whole session, he realized it was going to be a good thing.
What is your wedding date and where are you planning on getting married? We are getting married on March 19, 2010 at the Old Red Museum in downtown Dallas. It’s such a fun and unique location! We’re really looking forward to it.

What would you say to a couple who was considering not having an engagement session? I know that being engaged is a very hectic and sometimes stressful time and sometimes adding one more thing seems like a terrible idea. But, it’s also a really significant time in your relationship. I’m so glad that I’ve got these pictures to document this time, of how I feel with Jared right now and what it’s like to be getting ready for our future together.
What is one thing you’ve enjoyed most about planning your wedding since you got engaged? I think the best part is just getting to be creative and tailor our wedding exactly the way we want it. It’s a representation of our personalities.

Kacie and Jared, congratulations on your engagement and your upcoming wedding. You make such a cute couple. Enjoy each and every moment of your wedding day because it goes by so quickly.
